Quilt Square

Created in honor of Wayne Jones

Wayne was well-rounded, full of style, grace, and a sense of humor. He was a man of God who loved teaching, preaching, studying and speaking about God. There never was a time he did not take the opportunity to spread the Good News and build God’s kingdom. Wayne was a civic leader who enjoyed serving the community and those who were less fortunate. He was an active member of several organizations and used this venue to be an activist in organizing several services and programs to educate and improve one’s life. Wayne was a career man who worked many years. He was proud of his business Air, Land, & Sea Heavy Equipment Services, Inc. This small minority business allowed him to be instrumental in improving the environment, serving the naval shipyard and aiding in building many institutions. He had many hobbies, such as reading, driving his Corvette, watching the news, and looking at the Dallas Cowboys take the field.

His ultimate satisfaction was spending time with his family. Nothing made him more excited than family gatherings and seeing everyone having a great time.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2Timothy 4:7
